The road not taken

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost was about the chooses you make. He talk about him taking the road that everyone took. But in the future he said he well take the road less traveled with a sigh. That saying he well do something that not everyone would do but he won't like it.

I choosed this poem because I have done things that I have regreted. The theme is about choosing what to do in life. I think this is relevant to my life because I have chosen to not do homework and procrastinate.

Atticus as a father

Atticus is probably one of the nicest parents that you'll ever have and one of the smartest. One time he shows this is when Scout beat of Cecil Jacobs. Atticus dealt it with a calm voice but being strict. This shows he's under control and knows that he's kids are sorry for doing it and he won't raise he's voice.

The lessons he teaches are very important for a person to know. Atticus he's somewhat like my parents. Like Atticus my parents are smart. But at sometimes they get a little to mad at times when they shouldn't but that's rarly.

Themes

I am going to chose racism. Racism was shown in the book many times during the trial and after the trial. One specific detail is when Mr. Gilmer was questioning Tom and calling him boy. I think people should all be treated equally.

Another detail is when some of the people use the "N" word. It's not fair to call someone a horrible name. One more specific detail is when the guards shot Tom 17 times. 1-2 shots can kill a man 17 is just cruel.

This book changed my life

This book taught me that some people are just mean and some people are the nicest people on earth. Also you can't judge someone for what they look like or acted like. "Don't judge someone inless you walked a mile in their shoes." Atticus

The people of Maycomb have changed me by making me nicer. This book also helped me by not getting mad at others for mistakes they have done. It told me if someone is making fun of you walk away instead of make fun of them.

First impressions of boo radley

I think the rumors of Boo Radley arn't true. I think he is a misunder stood person who is being forced to stay in he's house. I think the people of Maycomb make up the rumors is because they like to gossip a lot.

I think I am most similar to Jem because I would pretend he dosen't bother me and be tough when im really not. I think I would be wondering who is Boo Radley also. He lives in a house that he can't leave because of what he did.

Life lessons

One lesson that Scout and Jem learn is that it's not Atticus's fault for losing the case. Miss Maudie teaching them this when seeing them sad after the jury's decision. This is important to learn because something going to happen and you are going to have no control over.

I can relate by losing my dog to someone running in to it. It's not their fault but your angry at them for what happen. So you can get angry at a person running into your dog when your dog was in the street so it's not all their fault.

Movie

The scene that stood out to me was the trial. The trial was similar to what the characters said, and some of their actions. But their were little differences. Like at the when Atticus didn't take he's shirt off. Also Dolphus Raymond didn't talk to the kids and judge Taylor didn't chew on a cigar.

The actors acted like how I thought the characters did in the book. Mr.Gilmer didn't do much in the movie but in the book he did a lot more stuff. Judge Taylor seemed angry leaving the court room after the jury said Tom was guilty.

Changing Perceptions of Boo Radely

When Jem lost his pants he went back and found them folded up on the fence. When Scout finds the stuff in the tree hole in Boo Radely yard. It seems that Boo is watching them and is being nice to them. It seems that Boo whats to have contact with them.

Atticus and Miss Maudie say to be nice and the rumors aren't true about him. Atticus says to not play the Boo Radely game. He is a little mysterious because he stabbed he's dad and can't leave he's house. He also watches everyone which is a weird.
